Experience the tranquility of your very own PRIVATE VERMONT FARMHOUSE ESTATE nestled in its own 156 ACRES OF UNSPOILED LAND with breathtaking views of beautiful Mount Mansfield! We invite you to relax and enjoy our spacious and tastefully furnished 5000 sq. ft. 15 ROOM Farmhouse and let its elegant charm and beauty re-energize you with hope and optimism and take you back to a time when life was simple.

Just inside the Farmhouse from the deck, awaits the completely refurbished farmhouse which boasts 7 bedrooms (5 with queen beds, 1 with two twin beds and 1 with one full bed) and 3 bathrooms.  This home is large enough to accommodate up to 16 people very comfortably. All bedrooms are completed with antique beds, top of the line Vera Wang mattresses and finished with carefully chosen quilts, crisp white linens, extra pillows, bureaus and reading lamps.

From the upstairs bedrooms, take a walk down the open wooden staircase and upon entering the 'great room' the eye is drawn to the beautiful large planked floors, and exposed hand-hewn ceiling beams. Decorated with elegant (but not too fussy) country furnishings, plenty of sturdy rocking chairs, and the 52'' FLAT SCREEN cable TV, this room is the perfect place to catch up on your favorite sports or a good movie. For those who aren't TV lovers, two other living rooms are available for conversation, reading, or a game of chess.

The expansive and well appointed Farmhouse kitchen is complete with double convection oven, over-sized Subzero refrigerator, dishwasher, and beautiful custom-built pickled maple cabinetry. The kitchen is open to a large dining area which boasts a farmhouse table large enough to accommodate up to 16 people overlooking the Farmhouse, its rolling hills and Mount Mansfield! The dining area also provides a Farmhouse sideboard/hutch complete with flatware, place settings, napkins and table linens, wine glasses, mugs, and a few other items necessary for your simple, or formal, dining needs. Our Farmhouse is complete with all bed linens, towels, washer and dryer, and a few extras. You need only bring your clothes and other personal items!

Located just steps away from the farmhouse sits this circa 1850’s hand-crafted timber frame beauty.  Having been completely and thoughtfully restored to its original glory in the summer of 2017, this pairing creates the quintessential Vermont farmstead you’ve seen and dreamed of.  After a night of rest in our farmhouse, you’ll wake to watch the sunrise and prepare for your day without haste.  Hours later the elegant comfort of the reception barn will accommodate 225 of your favorite people.  Its chapel stairs and twenty-foot swinging barn doors allow for a commanding entrance.  Inside, the barn boasts 25-foot ceilings, hand-hewn beams, freshly planked floors, and an octagon-shaped wooden silo repurposed to house the lounge/bar area.  Provided for conversation is a c.1800’s Cooley creamer originally used to cool and separate cream for butter, now used as the cocktail bar.  Round tables and chiavari chairs bring elegance to this rich, seasoned structure.  Newly constructed indoor restrooms for ladies and gents (handicap accessible) finish this venue in good measure.

Consider other locations on our farm property to host your ceremony.  Mother Nature has blessed Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm with natural amenities few are lucky enough to enjoy.  Moving ever so gently along the farm’s northeast side is small creek named Tyler Branch.  Just upstream are natural waterfalls most active after a good strong rainstorm.  In the middle sits the most quaint area set aside for private waterside ceremonies.

The Property

This setting is the beginning of memories you'll hold nearest to your heart.  It is unpretentious and modest, but naturally enhanced with the most elegant details to set the tone for a beautiful day allowing you and your guests to really feel the nostalgia of the day, and be reminded of what's most important in life....family, close friends and the beginning of a beautiful life.

From the expansive farmhouse deck, you can see wildlife meandering through your open fields, the quiet beauty of nature surrounding you and plenty of nearby Vermont sports awaiting your arrival! By night, thousands of stars blanket the sky shedding light onto the dewy green pastures below. The full moon rising is an unforgettable event.

Head outside for a wonderful day of hiking to the top of your own mountain, or sit waterside of your own on-site wading area and waterfalls, all located on this private country estate! Settle down with a picnic near the water, lounge in the hammock for a lazy day nap in the summer with a good book and your favorite brew!

While our property is quiet and private, consider kayaking or canoeing in the nearby waterways of the Missisquoi River or Lake Carmi.  Take entry at the Northern Forest canoe trails just minutes away or perhaps a leisurely or rigorous run or bike ride at the nearby rail trail. This modest country estate is located approximately 20 minutes from Smugglers Notch ski area, 25-30 minutes to Jay Peak Ski Resort, 1 hour from Montreal, and 1 hour from Burlington. Just ask and we'd be more than happy to help make your plans. If you prefer other activities, we recommend local wineries for wine tastings, small cafes, delis and other eateries, purveyors of organics food, Fall corn maze, many Antique shops, Vermont products, golf courses within 5 minutes, and some of Vermont's best local artisans and maple product producers just to name a few. Most recently a local artisan and family business is now offering fresh made goat's milk cheese, and goat's milk soap and many more of their very own award winning cheeses that have received both national and world-wide recognition.
